Emery Szucs: (South Bend Tribune 6/11/1999)

Sept. 5, 1912 – June 9, 1999 Emery “Jimmy” Szucs, Jr., 86, of West Adams Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, in his residence. He was born on Sept. 5, 1912, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Szucs was the owner of Szucs Redworm Farm, and retired from the A.M. General Corporation. Mr. Szucs was preceded in death by a son, Raymond, who died in 1955; and by six brothers and a sister. On Nov. 20, 1935, in South Bend, he married Regina Meleken, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, John (Juliann) Szucs of Niles, Mich.m and David Szucs and his fiancee, Joyce Penhollow, both of South Bend; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Margaret Ferency of South Bend. Mr. Szucs was a member of the South Bend Motorcycle Club Red Wing, and was an elder and deacon of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the funeral home, with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery
