Lucille A. Tafelski: (South Bend Tribune 7/31/2001)


Sept. 18, 1922 – July 28, 2001 Lucille Anne Tafelski of South Bend left this world on July 28, 2001, to take place that our Lord has prepared for her in God’s eternal home. She was born on September 18, 1922, to the late Stephen and Lottie Sikorski in South Bend, IN. Lucille was married to Raymond C. Tafelski on September 26, 1942, in South Bend. She is survived by her loving husband; two sons, Ronald (Bonnie) and Randall (Linda); four grandchildren, Scott (Andrea), Lori (Shannon) Kauffman, Sheila (James) Britton and Stacy Curtis; one great-grandson, Jordon; and one great-grand-daughter, Abbey; one sister, Alice (Joseph) Digirolamo; one brother, Clement (Christine) Sikorski; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta; a sister, Henrietta Sikorski; and a brother, Stephen Sikorski Jr. Her loving presence will be missed by all that knew her. When her days were over, and all the shadows dimmed, she closed her eyes and took God’s hand, and left the rest to him. There will be no visitation. Services for family members will be held at the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, July 31, 2001.
