Wendell G. Tam

July 16, 1918 – December 28, 1991

Wendell G. Tam, 73, of 726 East Fifth St., died at 4:57am Saturday in St Joseph’s Medical Center after an illness.  He was a truck driver for Brodbeck Trucking Co for ten years.  Prior to that, he worked for Studebaker Corp.

Born July 16, 1918, in Idaville IN, he moved to this area, coming from Florida where he had lived for 20 years.  On May 12, 1939, in Albuquerque NM, he married Louise DeHaven.  She died June 7, 1970.  Surviving are three daughters, Jeanne M. Snyder of Mishawaka, Colleen A. Minder of South Bend, and Janet K. Smith of Delphi IN; four sons, Curtis W. of Mishawaka, David L. of Sun Valley CA, Gary J. of Nappanee and Marcus A. of South Bend; 21 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, George M. of Alabama.

Graveside services will be at 10am Monday at Riverview Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., is in charge of arrangements
