John J. Thallemer

June 4, 1880 – April 1, 1911

John J. Thallemer, who had been critically ill of pneumonia, passed away on last Saturday evening at the home of his father, Mathias Thallemer, of North Main Street. While residing in Chicago, he contracted a severe cold some eleven weeks ago and pneumonia developed. Three weeks ago, accompanied by his wife, he returned to Mishawaka but failed to improve. The deceased was born in Mishawaka June 4, 1880.

 

Eleven years ago he to Chicago, where in 1902 he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret McGarry of that city. He is survived by his wife and one son, Clarence, 8 years old; his father, at whose home he died; two brothers, August of this city, and George of New York city; three sisters, Rose and Mary of Mishawaka, and Sister M. Gertrude of Elizabeth Hospital, Chicago.

 

He was a cousin of Herman and Joseph Thallemer, of the Thallemer undertaking company. The funeral was held Tuesday morning from the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. Dean L. A. Moench officiating.
