Sister M. Honorata Thallmer

Sister M. Honorata, of St. Loretto’s Hospital, New Ulm, Minn., died there Tuesday morning. Sister Honorata was born June 4, 1873 in Mishawaka, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Thallemer, and as Rose Thallemer, she entered the Order of Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in November, 1891. She professed in 1892, and for 48 years has been stationed in the hospital in New Ulm.

 

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. John S. Stoeckinger, 119 W. McKinley Avenue, three nephews. Dr. J. A. Stoeckinger of Lexington, Ky., Dr. P. F. Stoeckinger of Lawrence, Neb., and F. X. Stoeckinger of this city, and two nieces, Mrs. August Monhaut and Miss Gertrude Stoeckinger, both of Mishawaka.

 

Funeral sercives for Sister Honorata will be conducted tomorrow at 9 o’clock in the mother house of the order at Donaldson, Ind., with burial in the community cemetery at Donaldson.
