William Aloysius Thallemer

Aug. 6 1887 – Feb. 26, 1958

Mishawaka – William A. Thallemer, 70, of 517 Forest Ave., a lifelong resident of Mishawaka, died unexpectedly at 6 a.m. today in his residence. Mr. Thallemer apparently suffered a heart attack and was dead on arrival at St. Joseph Hospital.

 

Born in Mishawaka Aug. 6, 1887, Mr. Thallemer married Johanna VanderBosch in St. Monica’s Catholic Church Sept. 10, 1924.

 

For many years Mr. Thallemer had been employed by the Kamm and Schellinger Brewing Co. before his retirement  five years ago. He also was associated with the Thallemer Funeral Home, now the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home the last 25 years.

 

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ryan, of Joliet, Ill., and Mrs. Lois Livers, of South Bend; two sons, Don E. and Gerald E. Thallemer, both of South Bend, and seven grandchildren.

 

Mr. Thallemer was a member of the Holy Name Society and Ushers Club of St. Monica’s Church.

 

Friends may call at the Thallemer-Goethals Chapel after 7 p.m. Thursday.
