SOUTH BEND - Irma Jean Thomas, 54, was born June 1, 1954
to the parents of Herbert and Margaret (Griffo) Thomas in
South Bend. Jean leaves to rejoice in her memory; her mother,
Margaret Thomas of South Bend; a son, Marlin (Tony) Evans;
four grandchildren, Cameron Evans, Kaili Evans and Olivia
Evans, all of South Bend and Isaiah Evans of Mishawaka; two
sisters, Mary (Robert) Lacy and Roslyn Thomas, both of
South Bend; four brothers, Robert (Yvette) Thomas, Carlton
Thomas, Ray Thomas and Yul Thomas, all of South Bend; eight
nieces and 13 nephews and a multitude of other relatives and
friends; especially her long time friends, Gloria Sims-Thomas;
Diane Chapman and Doris Martin. She loved her
grandchildren, family gatherings, playing cards, and good times
with her friends. She was a security guard with Majestic Security
and a lifetime resident who spent her life assisting and
supporting family and friends. Preceding her in death were her
father, Herbert Thomas Sr. and a brother, Herbert Thomas Jr. In
lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tony Evans at 325
Runaway Bay Circle, Apartment 3D, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
Services for Ms. Thomas will be in the New Harvest Christian Ministry, 5911 York Road, South Bend. Services will be on Monday, Sept. 15, visitation 1 p.m. funeral services at 2 p.m. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with services.
