Frank Conrad Toepp

Frank C. Toepp, 220 South Eddy Street, well known retired business man died suddenly of a heart attack shortly before 10 o’clock this morning while reading the mail in his home. Mr. Toepp would have celebrated his 82nd birthday Dec. 29.

 

In addition to his widow Mr. Toepp is survived by two sons, Dr. Frank C. Toepp Jr. of Chicago; Burton of South Bend, and one daughter Miss Geraldine Toepp, at home.

 

Mr. Toepp was born in Rome, N.Y. and came to South Bend in 1880.

 

On Aug. 7, 1900, he married Miss Johanna A. Kamm in Mishawaka.

 

For 30 years Mr. Toepp operated a jewelry store in South Bend. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge No. 235 and the Rotary Club.

 

Funeral plans for Mr. Toepp, who was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church have not been completed.

Friends of Frank C. Toepp, 220 South Eddy Street, retired business man, who died Saturday morning in his residence of a heart attack, may call in the residence after 2:30 p.m. Monday.

 

The funeral will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Wendall P. Corcoran CSC singing the requiem mass.
