November 26, 1914April 22, 1945

 

The body of Pvt. Richard Herman Tohulka, 421 South Parry Street, who was killed April 22, 1945 in Germany, will be returned to this city today for reinterment here.

 

Friends may call in the Hollis Chapel Thursday night and until funeral services there at 2:30pm Saturday.  Rev. Edward W. Bruescke, pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery.  Members of the South Bend Post No 1167, VFW, American Legion will conduct military service.

 

The youth was born in South Bend November 26, 1914 and enlisted November 17, 1941.  He is the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Edward J. Tohulka.  Surviving are four brothers, George E. , Randall J. and Clarence A, all of South Bend, and Kenneth D on Fond du Lac WI; and three sisters, Mrs. George Voekel, Mrs. E. D. Hay and Mrs. Edna Pratt, all of South Bend.
