SOUTH BEND - Ann B. Tompkins (Boosi), 80, of Plainfield, Ind., formerly of South Bend, passed away at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, in the St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Tompkins was employed by Torrington and also by the Empire Box Company. She was born on July 12, 1916, in South Bend, and lived here until 1957.

On Nov. 8, 1947, in South Bend, as Ann B. Boosi, she married Benjamin W. Tompkins, who survives.

Also surviving are three sisters, Irene Martin, Elizabeth Granning and Patricia Talboom, all of South Bend; and a brother, Louis Boosi of South Bend.

Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble, South Bend, with Father Thaddeus Kwak officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., today, in the funeral home where a parish rosary will be recited at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Tompkins was past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 4497 of Hollywood, Fla.
