Myrtle V. Torma

NEW CARLISLE - Myrtle V. Torma, 80, passed away in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka on Wednesday, May 21. Myrtle was born on September 30, 1927, in South Bend as the daughter of Clyde N. and Anna M (Brown) Hay. She was preceded in death by her parents several bothers and sisters and a son Patrick L. Torma Sr.

 

On October 6, 1945 she married Peter P. Torma who also preceded her in death on March 16, 1992. Surviving are four grandchildren, Jackie (Joe) Talbot of South Bend, Jamie Torma of Mishawaka, Pat Torma Jr. of Mishawaka and Adam Torma of Lima, OH; seven great grandchildren, Ricky, Brian, Ashley, Aubrey, Makayla, Dayton, Brooke and a great-great grandchild, Jacob. Myrtle worked for Robertson's in the Shoe department until she retired in 1978. She was a member of the Homemakers club, an avid BINGO player. She enjoyed going to the Casino boats, doing her arts and crafts and her Christmas baking.

 

As per Myrtle's wishes there will be no visitation or services. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637.
