SOUTH BEND - George Steven Toth, 64, formerly of South
Bend, known to all as "Chick," passed away in his sleep
of natural causes in Darrington, Washington. Chick was born on
March 16, 1944, to Steven and Marjorie Toth. He was preceded in
death by his father, Steven Toth; and by two great-nieces, Ashley
and Autumn Ciesielski. Surviving Chick are his mother,
Marjorie L. Toth of South Bend; his sister, Brenda (Tom) Stachowiak
of South Bend; and nephews, Steven (Traci) Ciesielski and Jim
(Shannon) Ciesielski, both of South Bend. Also surviving are
great-nephews, Steven Jr. and Jimmy; and great-nieces, Kaylee and
Breanna Ciesielski.
Cremation has taken place and there was a memorial gathering to celebrate his life on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at the Mansford Grange in Darrington, Washington. There will also be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, in Holy Family Church, Mayflower Road in South Bend.
