SOUTH BEND - Lawrence C. Towne Jr., 61, of Chipstead Drive, died at 4:50 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Towne was the owner of Olde Towne Antiques.

He was born June 15, 1934, in South Bend. On Feb. 28, 1959, in South Bend, he married Marcia J. Cole. She survives with a daughter, Elizabeth Towne Murphy of Boston; a son, Lawrence C. ''Lance'' III of South Bend; one granddaughter, Samantha Murphy of South Bend; and his mother, Mildred S. Towne of South Bend.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 45, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, and the Presbyterian Church.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

SOUTH BEND - Services for Lawrence C. Towne Jr., 61, of Chipstead Drive, who died at 4:50 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
