SOUTH BEND - Sibyl I. Trent, 87, of South Bend, passed
away at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in her residence. Sibyl
was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Bear Town, Kentucky, to the late
Charles and Barbara Evans. She was also preceded in death
by her son, Garth Trent, and by a brother, Don Miller.
On October 21, 1937, in Ault, Kentucky, as
Sibyl Evans, she married Arlen Trent, who passed away on February
15, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Shari (Keith) Burget
of South Bend; two grandchildren, Rhonda (Jeff) Grim of
Wolcottville, IN, and Todd (Julie) Burget of Niles, Michigan; and
by four great-grandchildren, Dustin, Dana, Macie and Braden.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home,
17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, with Rev. Rick Callahan of
River Valley Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at
Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family
one hour prior to the services in the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and
Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or
to any charity of choice.
