Mishawaka – Mary A. Trippel, 88, of 2205 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, died at 7:20 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital. Born Dec. 23, 1895 in Mishawaka, she had lived here all her life.

 

On Oct. 24, 1916 in Mishawaka, as Mary A. Futterknecht, she married Alfred Trippel, who died in 1983.

 

Mrs. Trippel is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Wilfred (Gertrude) Weinkauf, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Scheibelhut, Mrs. Walter (Geraldine) Gropp, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Donald (Pauline) Heckman of Lakeland Fla.; a son Robert J. Trippel, of Mishawaka; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, of which she was a member. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Thallemer-Goethals Funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

 

Mrs. Trippel was also a member of the Rosary Society and Royal Neighbors.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.
