Saverio Troiola

Mishawaka – Saverio Troiola, 85, of 603 E. Marion St., died at 1:20 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital following a short illness. He retired in 1961 from the Northside Lumber Co. Mr. Troiola  was born in Carapelle, Abruzzia, Italy on March 15, 1882 and came to Mishawaka from
Italy in 1906. He married Rosina Batistelle in Carapelle on Aug. 15, 1904. She died Oct. 20, 1964.

 

Surviving are three sons, James of Mishawaka and Ernaldo and David, both at home; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Pallanti of Chicago and Miss Julia Troiola, at home and three grandchildren; and a brother. John Troiola in Carapelle. Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Chapel after 7 p.m. today. He was a member of the De Amicis Club.

Funeral rites for Saverio Troiola, 85, of 603 E. Marion St., who died Thursday will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home where friends may call. Rev. Fred Schroeder, pastor of the Sacred Heart Church, Remington, Ind., will officiate and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
