Richard D. Trowbridge

Richard D. Trowbridge, 63, of 1916 Thornhill Dr., died at 9 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Trowbridge was employed as a unitizer at The Bendix Corp. and retired after 36 years of service.  He was born Aug. 21, 1923 in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident.  On Sept. 24, 1949, in Mishawaka, he married Betty L. Rodgers, who survives.  Also surviving are three daughters, Linda Walkey of South Bend, Ann Underwood, of Indianapolis and Lisa Trowbridge of West Lafayette; two sons, Ron of Denver and Mark Of Lafayette; five grandchildren; two sisters, Lil Stanek of South Bend and Phyllis Kobb of Hudson, Fla.; a stepsister, Sylvia Kitson of Mishawaka; a brother, Larry of Mishawaka; and his stepmother, Gladys Trowbridge of Mishawaka. 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call fron 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.  He was a member of St. Jude’s Ushers Club, Knights of Columbus Council 5521 and St. Jude’s Booster Club, and was a veteran of World War II.  Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Ushers Club.
