Emma Evelyn Trueblood, 93, of 64667 Liberty Trail, North Liberty, Ind., passed away after an extended illness at 5:55 a.m. Thursday, March 20, in the Saint Joseph Care Center, South Bend, Ind.

She was a cook at Brush College in Decatur, Ill., for many years, and lived there from 1941 to 1986 when she then moved to North Liberty. She was born on Oct. 30, 1909, in Assumption, Ill.

 

She was married to Lane C. Trueblood on May 14, 1949, in Decatur, Ill. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank Manley and Jonnie Barker, and also by a son, Kenneth. She is survived by four sons, Richard R. Richardson of North Liberty, Thomas C. Richardson of Green Bay, Wis., John W. Richardson of Cedar Ridge, Colo., and Lane F. Trueblood of Glen Ellen, Ill.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Trueblood was a member of the North Liberty Church of Christ.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. in the church on Saturday, March 22, and officiated by Tim Stewart, pastor. Visitation will be after 7 p.m. today in the A.M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, and after 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
