Eleanor J. Turner

Aug. 14, 1932 - March 21, 2000

Mrs. Eleanor Jane Turner, 67, loving mother and sister who resided in Blythe, Calif., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away following an extended illness at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, in the Palo Verde Hospital, Blythe.

On Aug. 14, 1932, she was born to the union of the late Elmer and Alma (Cole) Garrett in Louisville, Ky. In 1967, in South Bend, she was married to Joe Turner, who also preceded her in death. She lived in South Bend until 1976, at which time she relocated to California.

She is survived by five daughters, Mary Joyce Jones of Louisville, Brenda Jones of Blythe, Eugenia Fleming-Richman of San Diego, Calif., Beverly Jones and Mia Curry, both of South Bend; four sons, Bernard Jones, Ernie Anderson, Eric Curry and Tobe Jones, all of South Bend; and by two sisters, Doris Brazier and Shirley Garrett, both of South Bend; along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Turner will be at noon today, March 29, in Alford's Mortuary. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services.

Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
