William L. Urgonski: (South Bend Tribune 6/3/1981)


William L. Urgonski, 58, of 1710 N. College, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after an unexpected illness. He was employed as a supervisor in the aircraft division at the Bendix Corp. for five years. Born Sept. 22, 1922, in New Carlisle, he had lived in South Bend all of his life. On June 8, 1946, in South Bend, he married Emma Bella, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Gary Stephen and Terry Allen, both of West Newton, Mass.: and a brother Robert of South Bend.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rev. Leonard Chrobot, his nephew, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. He was a World War II veteran, a member of VFW Post 8748, the Bendix Management Club, National Management Association, the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, Inc., and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
