John R. Vance

John R. Vance, 56, of Schumacher Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. John was born in Mishawaka on July 24, 1945. He was employed at A.B.B.Flakt Company of Niles, Mich., as purchasing agent for the past 35 years. On Aug. 12, 1965, in Niles, John married Sally Woodring, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Tammy Davis of Mishawaka; three sons, Richard Vance of New Haven, Ind., Jason Vance of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Jeremy Vance of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Beth Ann, Jessica, Taylor, Jacob, Miranda, Breanna and Korban; his mother, Clara Vance of Mishawaka; one brother, Robert Vance of California; and by two sisters, Barbara Bolin of South Bend, Ind., and Marilyn Paridaen of Florida. John was preceded in death by his father, John D. Vance; and by two sisters, Beverly Manly and Nancy Schroeder.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the River Valley Community Church, 55855 Bittersweet Road, Mishawaka. Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
