Sharon K. Vance, 51, of Filbert Road, Granger, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Friday in her residence of natural causes. Sharon was born on Nov. 9, 1944 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. Sharon was formerly employed at Charter Hospital, Granger, as a registered nurse.

On March 18, 1961, in South Bend, Sharon K. Schmeltz married Larry J. Vance. He survives along with three daughters, Pamela Ann Stuck of Osceola, Ind., Tina Marie Turnock of South Bend, and Angelic Sue Dale of Granger, Ind.; five grandchildren; Kyle Andrew Dale of Granger, Nina Nicole Stuck and Shane Lyle Stuck of Mishawaka, Ind., Bryan Scott Turnock and Marie Ann Turnock of South Bend. Also surviving are two sisters, Sue Dillon of Mishawaka and Barbara Lepe of California.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bubb Funeral Home North, 3910 N. Main St. where friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Sharon was a member of Nurses Services Organization and AARP. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
