MISHAWAKA - Joseph H. VanDePutte, 59, a resident of Mishawaka for 50 years, until he moved to Milwaukee, Wis. eight years ago, died Tuesday in his home. He had been in ill health for the past two years. He was borm in West Flanders, Belgium and was brought to Mishawaka as a child.

 

He married Mary DePril in Mishawaka. He was employed by the Ball-Band plant for 20 years prior to moving to Milwaukee. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Albert VanLu of Hammond, Ind. and James VanDePutte of Milwaukee; one brother, Henry VanDePutte of Mishawaka; and a sister, Mrs. Paula Huys of South Bend.

Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel after 7 p.m. today and until the services at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Otto J. Keller, pastor will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
