Amandus Vincent Vanderbosch

SOUTH BEND – Anandus V. Vanderbosch, 93, of Normal, Ill. and formerly of Oak Park Drive, South Bend, died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday in his son’s home in Normal. He was a retired manager for Standard Oil Company. And was a loan officer for Teachers Credit Union. He was born March 11, 1900 in Avilla, and resided in Normal since 1978.

 

On Oct. 7, 1925 in Mishawaka he married Louis DeGroote. She died March 24, 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia T. Powers of Pittsburgh; three sons, Thomas J. of San Jose, Calif., Phillip A. of Charlotte, N.C. and Richard A. of Normal; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. A grandchild preceded him in death. He is a former member of St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in Hickey Funeral Home. Memorial contributions made be made to any charity.
