SOUTH BEND - Bernadette T. (Meyer) Vanderbosch, 73, of 1230 E. Fairington Circle, died at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday im St. Joseph Medical Center. She was a registered nurse retired from River Park Nursing Home. She was born on Sept. 29, 1910 in Avilla, Ind., and had lived in South Bend most of her life, after moving here from Kendallville.

 

On June 27, 1935 in South Bend, she married Herbert M. Vanderbosch, who died Nov. 25, 1971. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne M. Neely of South Bend; two sons, Keith L. of Cassopolis and Larry H. of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; and three sister, Anne Meyer and Agnes Meyer, both of South Bend, and Marcella Rood of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth E. on July 7, 1957.

 

Services will be conduted at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Matthews Catholic Cathedral and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the McGann Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. by the parish and Circle of Mercy of the church. She was a charter member of St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church, a member of St. Matthew’s, the Indiana State Nures Association, the former St. Anthony Rosary Society, the Circle of Mercy and a graduate of Holy Cross School of Nursing.
