Florence Vanderbosch

MISHAWAKA – Mrs. Edward F. Vanderbosch, 62, of 522 W. Mishawaka Avenue, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in her home. She had been ill for a short time before her death. She was born in South Bend and had lived all of her lifetime in this vicinity.

 

As Florence Poehlman she married Mr. Vanderbosch on Nov. 4, 1922 in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. He survives with a son James of Mishawaka; four daughters, Mrs. Carl Lindzy and Mrs. Robert Huyaert, both of South Bend., Mrs. Bruce Chamberlin of Mishawaka and Mrs. Irnee d’Haevens of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; a  brother, Otto Poehlman of Cassopolis; and two sisters. Mrs. Howard McCurkle of South Bend, and Mrs. Leona Mattern of Elgin, Ill.

 

Friends may call in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church and the Rosary Society of that church. She was also an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Rev. Leo A. Hoffman, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
