John L. Vanderbosch, 80, of 22342 Brick died at 11 a.m. today in Morningside Nursing Home.  The Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Services for John L. Vanderbosch Sr., 81, of 22342 Brick, who died Wednesday, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church.  Burial is to be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today I Hickey Funeral Home, 2700 Lincoln Way W.

Vanderbosch was born on Jan. 30, 1896, in Avilla, Ind., and lived here most of his life.  His wife, Margaret Bickel Vanderbosch, died on Dec. 14, 1959.  He retired in 1960 from Flies Furniture Co., where he had been employed 48 years.  Surviving are a son, John L. Jr. of South Bend; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Johanna Thallemer of Mishawaka and two brothers, A.V. and Adolph, both of South Bend.  Vanderbosch was a veteran of World War I and a member of Council 553, Knight of Columbus.  A parish rosary will be at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
