Mary Genevieve Vanderbosch

SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Mary G. Vanderbosch, 75, of 217 Portsmouth Court, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital after a five-week illness. She was born Nov. 5, 1895 in Paducah, Ky., and had lived here 65 years coming from Owensboro, Ky.

 

Her husband, William H. Vanderbosch died May 24, 1970. They were married Oct. 24, 1916 in South Bend. Her survivors are a son, William R. of Edwardsburg; four daughter, Mrs. Francis Shafer, South Bend, Mrs. A. L. Decker, Tempe, Ariz.; Mrs. A. J. Brown of Hindsdale, Ill., and Mrs. Thomas Dinan of Salona Beach, Calif; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Nygeres of South Bend.

 

Friends may call from noon Tuesday until 9 p.m. in Bilancio-Gusinger Colonial Chapel. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Matthew’s Catholic Cathedral and the Daughters if Isabella. The later will have a rosary Tuesday in the funeral home and the parish rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Services for Mrs. Mary Vanderbosch will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew’s Catholic Cathedral, with Rev. Msgr. Joseph R. Crowley, rector, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
