MISHAWAKA - Services for Sylvia M. Vander Wall, 87, of 1120 BJ St., who died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in her home of natural causes, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Harris Prairie Church of Christ, Granger. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Mrs. Vander Wall was a former employee of Uniroyal Plastics Co., St. Joseph Hospital, Whitehall Industries and Burcliff Industries.

She was born Oct. 17, 1907, in Staples, Minn. Her first husband, Ben Ramey, and second husband, Herbert Gilbert, preceded her in death. In 1974, in Phoenix, she married William Vander Wall. He survives with a daughter, Bernice Woodruff of Mishawaka; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Arbuckle of Arizona; a stepson, William Vander Wall of Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Rex of White Pigeon; and two brothers, Ernest Hall of Wisconsin and Gordon Hall of Los Gatos, Calif. A daughter, Ella Mae Miller, died in 1965. She was a member of the church and Moose Lodge 1262.
