SOUTH BEND - Gary Van De Velde, 59, died Friday morning,
December 26, 2008, in his residence following a short illness. He
was born September 10, 1949, in South Bend, to the late Maurice
and Margaret (Bella) Van De Velde, and was a lifetime area
resident.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 2, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 309 S. Taylor St., with Rev. John Klimczyk officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may gather in the church from 1:30 until the time of service. Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., is handling arrangements.
