E. Katherine VanDusen

April 8, 1910 - Nov. 7, 1998

E. Katherine (Cauffman) Van-Dusen, 88, of Jeanwood Drive, Elkhart, Ind., passed away of natural causes on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Mrs. VanDusen was born in Elkhart to Elmer Cauffman and Mary Bressler.

On April 1, 1933, she married Harry VanDusen in South Bend. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by 12 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. VanDusen was a homemaker and was also a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church in Granger, Ind.

She is survived by a son, Jim VanDusen, Sr., and his wife Joan of Elkhart; two daughters, Betty Yourist and her husband Marvin of Michigan City, Ind., and Evelyn Phillips and her husband Kermit of Niles, Mich.; and by 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Ind.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
