February 19, 1914 – February 19, 1970

Arthur Van Heesbeke, 56, of 27898 U.S. 20, New Carlisle IN, died at 2am today at Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born February 19, 1914, in South Bend and had lived in this area all his life.  On August 26, 1939 in South Bend, he married Elsie Taelman, who survives along with a son, Michael, and a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Toth, both of South Bend; four grandchildren; a brother, Cyriel, of New Carlisle; and two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Van Goeye of South Bend and Mrs. Madelene Butler of Bluffton. 

Friends may call after 7pm today at the DeVos Chapel, Mishawaka.  Services will be at 10am Saturday at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Terre Coupee.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Friday at the funeral home.
