MISHAWAKA - Edwin J. Van Huffel, 87, of Fourth Street, died at 9:05 a.m. today in his home after an illness. Mr. Van Huffel retired from Uniroyal Corp. after 43 years in plant protection. He was born July 19, 1907, in Mishawaka.
On April 27, 1946, in Mishawaka, he married Henrietta M. Bauters. She survives with two sisters, Vivian Adams of Elkhart and Betty Welch of Union; and two brothers, Marvin of Elkhart and Joseph Jr. of South Bend. He was a Navy World War II veteran and a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, BK Club. Services are being arranged at Hahn Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
MISHAWAKA - Services for Edwin J. Van Huffel, 87, of Fourth Street, who died at 9:05 a.m. Friday in his home after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Bavo's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Hahn Funeral Home.
