Maxine Grace VanKeuren

OSCEOLA - Maxine Grace VanKeuren, 83, of 56518 Eastview Drive, died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday in Americana Nursing Home, Elkhart, after an illness. Mrs. VanKeuren was a cook at the former Osceola School. She was born April 22, 1912, in Osceola, and was a lifelong area resident.

In 1941, in Osceola, as Maxine Grace Neely, she married J. Wenzel VanKeuren. He died in 1991. Surviving are a son, Bill of Osceola; two grandchildren; and a brother, Bruce Neely of Elkhart. She was a 50-year member of Osceola United Methodist Church and the Women's Society.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Warner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Elkhart. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Gifts may be made to the church.
