Leopold Van Lul

Feb. 11, 1898 – June 4, 1967

MISHAWAKA - Leopold Van Lul, 69, of 417 W. 6th Street, was pronounced death on arrival at St. Joseph Hospital at 11:10 a.m. Sunday where he was taken by city ambulance after becoming ill at his home. Mr. Van Lul was born Feb. 11, 1898 in Onkerzele, Belgium and had lived here for 45 years coming from his native country.

 

He was married Feb. 21, 1938, in Mishawaka, to the former Irma Goddard, who survives along with his mother, Mrs. Adeline Van Lul of Belgium, one son Albert Van Lul of Hammond, Ind.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Fuller and Mrs. Betty Bobson, and one step-son, Eugene Goddard, all of Mishawaka. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters living in Belgium; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He retired in 1963 from the Edodge Manufacturing Co., was a lifelong member of the Dodge Athletic Assn., the BK Club and the De Amicis Club.

 

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in the DeVos Funeral Chapel, where members of the Mishawaka Fire Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to recite the rosary. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
