Matthew Wayne Van Scoyk, seven and one-half weeks old, died Tuesday evening, June 3, in Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. He was born in Indianapolis on April 8, 1997. Matthew was the son of Wayne Van Scoyk and Norma Covyeou of South Bend, Ind.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Tina L. Tillman and Charlotte Van Scoyk of South Bend; brothers, Brian Walters of Denver, Colo., Jonathon Van Scoyk of South Bend and Joseph Parker of South Bend; and by his grandparents, Mary Stabnik, Wayne Van Scoyk, Daniel Morey and Esther Morey, all of South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with Mr. Fred Smith and Robert Reuter officiating. Burial will be in Babyland of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
