SOUTH BEND - Walter E. Van Scoyk, 58, of Hollywood Road, South Bend, died Wednesday, June 11, in his residence. He was born October 13, 1949, in South Bend, to Harry and Ruby (Williamson) Van Scoyk, who preceded him in death along with a sister, Martha Sidwell, and two brothers, Harry Jr. and William. Surviving are a son, Jeremy Van Scoyk of Granger; a sister, Rebecca (Joseph) Fuzey of South Bend; along with several nieces and nephews. Walter was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6, The National Rifle Association, Bendix UAW #9 and the North American Hunting Club.

A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday, June 17, in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Rev. Erv Mize presiding, with full Army military honors following the service. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
