Cyriel Van Steenkiste

April 29, 1894 - April 15, 1928

Cyriel Van Steenkiste, age 33, of 1314 West Division Street, died of pneumonia following a four day illness Sunday morning at 3:30 o'clock in St Joseph's Hospital, Mishawaka.

He was born in Belgium April 29, 1894, and came here 28 years ago from that country.  Surviving are his wife, Bertha, whom he married in 1916 in South Bend; his mother, Mrs. Rosaline Van Steenkiste and seven sisters, Margaret, Bertha, Julia, Alice, Lena, Martha and Madaline Van Steenkiste, all of South Bend.

The body may be viewed in the residence until the funeral which will be held in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, the Rev Gustav Lecoutere, CSC, the pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Mr. Van Steenkiste was a member of South Bend Aerie #435, F.O.E.
