MISHAWAKA - Suzanna VanVooren, 63, of
1514 W. 6th Street, died Sunday evening in St. Joseph
Hospital. She had been ill for about a week. She was born in
Wachebeke, Belgium, from where she came 51 years ago. As Miss
Suzanna Rose Vervaet, she married Theophil VanVooren in
St. Bavo’s Catholic Church in 1917. Surviving besides her
husband; a daughter, Mrs. C. J. Witz and three sons,
Harry, Emiel and Albert VanVooren, all of Mishawaka; 10
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Emiel Mostaert, and
Mrs. Frank Vacrewyck, of this city, and Mrs. Harry Stroobandt
of South Bend; and two brothers, Octaff Vervaet of Leamington,
Ontario and William Vervaet of Mishawaka.
Friends may call in the DeVos Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
