MISHAWAKA - Theophiel VanVooren, 79,
of 16430 Shramrock Drive, died Friday evening in Ridgedale
Nursing Home, South Bend, after an extended illness. He was born
in Ertvelde, Belgium on March 25, 1894, and came to Mishawaka in
1912 from Belgium. He married Suzanna Vervaet in Mishawaka
on April 18, 1918. She died in 1963. Surviving are three sons,
Albert Emile and Harry of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. C. J. Witz
of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
