Anna Van Winkle
Mrs. Anna J. Van Winkle, aged 38, of 1408 Kemble avenue, died in Memorial
(Epworth) Hospital, at 7:30 a.m. Sunday after an illness of four months.  Born
in South Bend June 13, 1907, she was married as Miss Anna Piasecki on Sept. 9,
1933 to Everett Van Winkle, who survives.  Also surviving are a sister, Mrs.
Josephine Bedics, and two brothers, Peter J. and John Piasecki, all of South
Bend.  Her husband, Corp. Van Winkle, has just returned from Germany on a
furlough.  Friends will be received in the home after 5 p.m. today until the
time of the funeral which will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St.
Hedwage's Roman Catholic church with Rev. Stanislaus A. Gruza C.S.C. pastor
officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
