Josephina Vellucci

MISHAWAKA - Josephina Vellucci, 98, of West 11th Street, died at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Vellucci retired in 1959 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. after 36 years of service. She was born March 1, 1897, in Ferentino, Italy, and lived in Mishawaka since 1927.

On Feb. 19, 1920, in Ferentino, as Josephine Dellechiale, she married Massimo Vellucci. He died March 22, 1978. She is survived by two daughters, Felicia Galassi of Mishawaka and Alvra Dudeck of South Bend; two sons, Albert J. of South Bend and Vincent of Honolulu; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and De Amicis Club Auxiliary. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Hahn Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m.
