Massimo Vellucci

February 19, 1897March 22, 1978

                 

Massimo Vellucci, 82, of 312 W. 11th, died at 5:15am today in St Joseph Hospital following an unexpected illness.

 

He was born on February 19, 1897 in Ferentino Province of Rome Italy, and moved to New York City in 1920 from Italy.  He came to Mishawaka on 1927.  After 33 years, he retired in 1960 from the Studebaker Corp, South Bend.  He married Josephine Dellechiaie in Ferentino on February 19, 1920, and she survives.

 

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Felicia) Galassi of Mishawaka and Mrs. Edward (Alvera) Dudeck of South Bend; two sons, Albert Jr. of South Bend and Vincent of Honolulu, Hawaii; 11 grand children; 16 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marietta and Angelina, both of Italy.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and from 2 to 9pm Friday in the Hahn-Peffley-DeVos Funeral Chapel (8th St. entrance).  Services will be at 10am Saturday in St Joseph Catholic Church.  Rev. Robert Hoevel, pastor, will officiate, and entombment will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park mausoleum.  Vellucci was a member of St Joseph parish and the DeAmicis Club.
