MISHAWAKA - Marcella S. Vercruysse, 95, passed away on
Monday, April 14, in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka. Marcella was
born on October 26, 1912, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of Camiel
and Melanie (Van Holsbeke) De Muelenaere. She was
preceded in death by her parents, and by a sister, Mary De
Muelenaere.
On January 5, 1932, in Mishawaka, as the
former Marcella De Muelenaere she married Maurice Vercruysse, who
preceded her in death on July 11, 1991. Surviving are her two
daughters, Mildred "Milly" Vercruysse and Charlene Hixenbaugh,
both of Mishawaka; and two grandchildren, Curt and Christy Camerer,
both of Mishawaka.
As per Marcella's wishes, there will be no
visitation. A graveside service will be held in Fairview Cemetery
at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22nd, with Rev. Barry England
officiating. Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, has
been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial
contributions may be made in Marcella's name to the Muscular
Dystrophy Assn. Inc., 314 W. Catalpa Drive, Suite F, Mishawaka,
