Peter Vernasco

MISHAWAKA – After a stroke of apoplexy suffered Friday Peter Vernasco, aged 84, of 423 W. 8th Street, died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday in his home. Mr. Vernasco was born Apr. 23, 1861, in Carpineto, Italy, and came from that country 23 years ago.

 

He married Maria Ferrettie in Italy 65 years ago. She died Dec. 7, 1943. Surviving are four sons, Victor, Theodore and Joseph Vernasco, all of Mishawaka, and Private Torino Vernasco of Spokane, Wash., and four daughters, Mrs. Camilla Fermi, Mrs. Bernard Belli, Mrs. Delphine Minotti, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Palmira Perasili of Italy; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

 

Friends may call at the Thallemer Funeral Home until noon Tuesday when the body will be taken to the residence where friends may call until the funeral services at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Otto J. Keller will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the residence.
