Victor Vernasco

June 13, 1884 - September 4, 1975

Victor Vernasco, 91, of 225 W 8th, died at 9:30pm Thursday in St Joseph Hospital after a two day illness.

He was born in San Giorgio, Placenza, Italy, June 13, 1884, and moved to Mishawaka from Chicago in 1914.  He retired from UniRoyal Inc in 1949 after 35 years of employment, and was a member of the DeAmicis Club.  On January 6, 1912, in Chicago, he married Miss Dema Pini.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. John C. Fassero of Mishawaka; tow sons, Neil of Wood Dale IL and Ted of Benton Harbor MI; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Palmira Perazzoli of Italy and Mrs. Desolina Belli and Mrs. Delfina Minnotti of Mishawaka and two brothers, Joseph and Torino of Mishawaka.

Friends may call after 7pm Saturday and all day Sunday in the DeVos Funeral Chapel.  Vernasco was a member of St Bavo's Catholic Church.
