MISHAWAKA - August Vervaet, 72, of 915 West Sixth Street, died in his residence this morning. He had been ill for several weeks. He is survived by his wife and eight children in this city, and a brother and two sisters in Belgium. He was born in Belgium May 30, 1856 and came to this country 18 years ago.

The body will be viewed at the residence. Funeral arrangements are to be announced later.
