MISHAWAKA - Jennie M. Vervaet, 63, of
South Burdette Street, died Monday afternoon in Meridan Nursing
Center-Cardinal in South Bend. She retired in 1982 from St.
Joseph Hospital after 14 years of service. She was born Aug. 19,
1925 in Mishawaka, and was as a lifelong area resident. She is
survived by two sisters, Gloria Kepler of Mishawaka, and
Dorothy Ciula of South Bend; a stepsister, Irene Kohler
of South Bend; a brother, Cyril Vervaet of South Bend; and her
mother, Erma Beckaert of Mishawaka.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St.
Joseph Catholic Church and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
in the Hahn Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at
7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to
Penn-Harris-Madison Unit of the American Cancer Society.
