Irene E. Vinson

MISHAWAKA – Services for Mrs. Irene E. Vinson, 68, of 12024 McKinley Highway, who died at 9 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, will be at 9 a.m. Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel where friends may call from 7 to 9 today and 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 Sunday. Rev. Frank I. Barkus, pastor of First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be in Mishawaka City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Vinson had been a hospital patient for 30 days and had been in failing health for many years. She was born in Mishawaka on Sept. 13, 1899 and had been a lifetime resident of this city.

 

On July 8, 1923 in Mishawaka as Irene Raab, she was married  to Howard G. Vinson. He survives along with one sister, Mrs. Josephine Welsh of Youngstown, Ohio. Mrs. Vinson retired from Uniroyal in 1960 after 42 years of service in the tabulating department.
