Zelda Rose Vittorie

SOUTH BEND – Mrs. Zelda Rose (Stafford) Vittorie, 47, of 53730Juniper Road, died at 5 a.m. Monday in Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis after being a patient for eight years and having a kidney transplant 10 months ago. She was a Uniroyal, Inc. of Mishawaka employee. Born Dec. 15, 1928 in South Bend, she had lived here her lifetime.

 

On May 12, 1948, in LaPorte, she married Joseph N. Vittorie, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Judy and two sons, Louis and Joseph Jr., all of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Panxy Galloway of Elkhart and Mrs. Doris Ladyga of South Bend and four brothers, David Stafford of South Bend, William and James Stafford, both of Osceola. And Robert Stafford of Harbor Beach, Fla.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Community Congregational Church. Rev. L. Paul Harris, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Chapel North. She was a member of the Kidney Foundation.
